Today’s Life Lessons: Learning/Reading

Learning is one of the most childlike things we can do, yet makes us more “adult” than ever, wouldn’t you say? Ponder that one, lol! There are many topics I find interesting, but only a few at a time I’m able to fully digest.

Reading used to be one of my first loves as a kid. However, in my busy life today, reading has taken a back seat, more often than most times, to other grown-up tasks. I’ve been making an effort to increase time for reading so I can increase my learning, and am also listening to podcasts (when I’m driving, washing dishes, working in the garden, etc.). Currently, I’m using Spotify. It’s free and ads are minimal.

I thought I’d share some of my choices with you. For reading, “The E Myth Revisited, Why Most Small Businesses Don’t Work and What to Do About It” by Michael E. Gerber. From a spiritual perspective, “Bible Studies” by Thelona D. Stevens, and “Daughters of Eve” by Lottie Beth Hobbs (we’re using both in our little women’s study class).

I’m listening to/following a few podcasts, as well as, watching on YouTube (because I need the visual stimulation)…Dr. Edie Wadsworth (Christian-based life coach), Amberly Deavours (Christian-based business life coach), Taylor Stanford (avid blogger teaching others how to break into the biz), and Sophia Lee (also avid blogger/educator on starting your own site, influencer/designer). They each have successful blogs and other educational content that’s highly worthwhile. Each own multiple businesses. You should check them out.
